    Integrated Inclusive Community Centers

Launched in 2013, “Egypt’s National Program for ICT Inclusive Community Centers (ICT-ICC)” is one of the most remarkable programs in assisting PwDs. It aims to utilize ICT for transforming community centers into inclusive ones that are technologically accessible for PwDs. Such centers, originally used as venues for social, cultural, and sports activities for citizens, particularly youth, were equipped to provide PwDs and non-PwDs with wider communication channels; access to information and knowledge; and granting them training and capacity building opportunities.
MCIT cooperates with a number of partners in the ICT sector who are members of the ICT social responsibility committee, comprising large ICT companies and civil society organizations.

Partners in this project include— among others—Telecom Egypt (TE), Cisco, Huawei and Vodafone.

ICT-ICC is a seven-year program (2013-2020), currently operating at the 27 governorates of Egypt with 166 centers.
