The National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID) is organizing the Accessible Smart Cities Hackathon, on February 12-14, at its premises in Smart Village, in collaboration with the British Council, University College London (UCL), Microsoft and the Global Disability Innovation (GDI) Hub. The hackathon targets using Assistive Technology (AT) to develop a smart product or a digital application, in 54 hours. The aim is to help create accessible smart cities for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), to help them have a dignified, equal, safe and independent life, and support their inclusion in the society.
