The International Olympiad in Informatics, held annually in one of the member states of the International Committee (IC) for the IOI, is an international competition organized for young people under the age of twenty in the field of informatics.
It aims at disseminating informatics awareness between students and youth, qualifying them to enter the informatics age, developing their skills in informatics and its applications. It also aims at encouraging youth in various educational stages to take part in such competitions to prepare talented calibers in the field of programming and IT.
It also endeavors to create a generation that has the ability to think, innovate and develop; and strengthen the bonds of friendship and competition among the participating youth and experts, as well as the exchange of cultures among students from around the world.
Students are then qualified to work in technology programming, thus benefiting the economy of countries.
