As part of the Enterprise Capacity Building Programs, Capability Development Program “GROW IT” program was launched in September 2008 in cooperation with Atos Consortium (Atos Origin, Hewitt, Arthur D. Little, QAI and CID) to increase the international competitiveness of Egyptian ICT companies that are existing exporters, or who have export potential.
Teams of local and international consultants were mobilized to companies through a specialized program management unit, which was managed by the consortium, in order to deliver the program consultancy services.
Phase I was completed in 2012 and phase II was then initiated, capitalizing on the experience gained from the consortium to have the program fully implemented using local resources in terms of consultancy delivery and program management.
Capitalizing on local recourses dramatically decreased the cost of the program that resulted in increased participation of SMEs as well as Micro Enterprises.
Grow IT aims at building SMEs capacities to improve and streamline their business practices in areas of strategy, operations and finance in order to achieve a better competitiveness at both local and international markets. It also targets developing skills of the ICT workforce for individuals and companies.
