    MCIT Completes Telemedicine Project by June 2020   20 Feb 2019

    The telemedicine project aims at offering a high quality medical service for remote and rural communities, in underserved areas. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is currently linking 150 health units to major central hospitals, to be completed by June 2019, while the project’s phase two will be finalized by June 2020.

    Egypt Post have signed a protocol with the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the provision of services provided by the entities affiliated to the Ministry of Interior to citizens through the postal service centers nationwide. The protocol allows citizens to receive a number of official documents issued by the Ministry of Interior through the e-government portal.

    The Vice ICT Minister for Digital Transformation, Automation and Administrative Development Khaled El Attar has stated that all the government services will be provided to citizens digitally by the end of 2019. He added in an interview with El-Watan News that digital transformation in Egypt is the State’s focus and is currently being achieved by all the sectors, aiming to provide services to citizens with the best quality and in timely manner.

    Egyptians are the most involved in the UAE's initiative 'One Million Arab Coders', accounting for over 40%, followed by Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, and the UAE.     The Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO), in cooperation with the Egyptian Banks Company, has launched a new service that allows its customers to receive their remittances from all banks in Egypt, via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system.
