    Russian ICT Minister Signs Agreements with MCIT to Exchange Experience   20 May 2019

    Al Ahram newspaper has conducted an interview with the Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Konstantin Noskov, where he stated that he signed a number of agreements with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology during a recent visit to Egypt in ICTs, post and technology areas.

    Egypt National Post Organization (ENPO) is participating in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Council of Administration (CA) meetings, on April 11-12, at UPU headquarters in Berne, Switzerland. ENPO participation aims at establishing partnerships with postal institutions around the world, for exchanging postal and logistics expertise, and enhancing cooperation with UPU member states.

    The Egyptian Information, Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance (EITESAL) has held a workshop on “Wazeefa Tech” initiative, where over 50 Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) attended the workshop. “Wazeefa Tech” is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity to provide training and employment opportunities to university graduates.

    The ICT Minister Amr Talaat stated, during a phone call with "Public Opinion" program on TEN TV channel, that the comprehensive health insurance system is mainly centered on an IT based automation system, including management of HR, accounts and booking systems, in compliance with international specifications.

    The ICT Minister Amr Talaat stated, in a dialogue conducted by Nile News channel during the Arab and African Youth Platform on March 16-18, in Aswan, that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is to train 10,000 Egyptian and African young people on digital skills and Virtual Reality (VR), and promote establishing 100 Egyptian and African ICT companies within the next three years.

    The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is currently in the process of crafting a strategy on Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is based on two main pillars, including establishing an AI academy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to promote innovation and capacity building in this field, and the practical application of AI technologies, to produce and export AI based solutions.
     
    MCIT Completes Telemedicine Project by June 2020   20 Feb 2019

    The telemedicine project aims at offering a high quality medical service for remote and rural communities, in underserved areas. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is currently linking 150 health units to major central hospitals, to be completed by June 2019, while the project’s phase two will be finalized by June 2020.
