    MCIT, Cisco Academy Provide Training for Kafr El Sheikh Youth   7 Jul 2019

    The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with Cisco Networking Academy, offers a training program for youth in Kafr El Sheikh governorate on using latest IT systems, within the Training of Trainers (TOT) agreement, and provides them with certificates from Cisco Academy.

    The ICT Sector has achieved growth ranging between 15% and 18%, the highest among other State sectors, six years after 30 June 2013 revolution. In addition, total exports of IT services exceeded 3.67 billion dollars.

    Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, during his participation in Seamless North Africa 2019 conference, has witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and a number of national regulatory authorities, including the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), with the aim to provide integrated regulatory support for the Fintech system in Egypt.

    Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by Telecom Egypt, the Ministry of Public Business Sector, represented by Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development, and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, with the aim to transform the buildings of cultural value into innovation and youth entrepreneurship hubs.

    President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, where they discussed the status of the national ICT projects, including the national strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI), in light of the plans of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to contribute to the State efforts to build the Egyptian citizen, and the governmentís digital transformation plan.

    Egypt National Post Organization (ENPO) is participating in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Council of Administration (CA) meetings, on April 11-12, at UPU headquarters in Berne, Switzerland.
