Egypt Partakes in Africa Cyber Defense Summit

    Date published: 9 July 2018

Egypt, represented by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), will participate in Africa Cyber Defence Summit that will be hosted by the Ministry of ICT of Kenya on July 9-10, in Nairobi. The Summit is the largest cyber security gathering in Africa, hosting over 750 delegates from across Africa and partners from across the globe.

Given the role of ICT in Africaís rapid economic growth, cybersecurity breaches and attacks have the potential to slow down development. Hence the need to collaborate immediately to address and counter the cyberattacks with the right people, process and technologies is critical for the region.

The Summit aims to provide an opportunity for participants to learn and understand the benefits of specific technologies and connect with peers in a private business -focused environment. It also aims to source the most cost effective, up-to-date solutions and innovations on one platform, and get hands-on experience on the cyber security solutions available in the market.
