    Egypt Entrepreneur Network Portal

    As per the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology aiming to support entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises through developed technological solutions, the minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Mohamed Salem, , launched "Egypt Entrepreneur Network Portal" initiative.

    This comes within the framework of the events of Cairo ICT Exhibition that took place from 26 to 29 April 2012 at the Cairo International Conference Center, in Nasr City.

    The portal is one of the fruitful results of the partnership between the E-Learning Competence Center (ELCC) affiliated to Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and "ImagineNations Network" institution.

    The portal which is developed by the E-Learning Competence Center is the Egyptian and regional model of the Global Entrepreneurship Network.
    Egypt Entrepreneurship Network Portal is an electronic social and interconnection networking.

    This Network portal allows entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises to communicate, interconnect and exchange experience to obtain all information, academic and practical sources as well to know about different funding sources that contribute to the development of the performance of their business.

    It also helps entrepreneurs to start their projects and obtain the necessary direction and guidance.

    The portal represents a link between all key players in the field of entrepreneurship, including:
    §  Entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises, businessmen, students, businesswomen and entrepreneurs with special needs.

    §  Mentors and advisers from international and local academia, and business experts who offer their expertise and efforts as mentors to help entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises by providing support and advice in any of the various technical areas of business.

    §  Local and international financial organizations and institutions that provide financial support to entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises to start their businesses.

    §  Educational institutions and academies that provide training programs designed to academic and entrepreneurs, counselors, mentors and owners of small and medium enterprises.

    The portal provides e-learning services in the field of entrepreneurship, which allows entrepreneurs to participate in training programs in areas related to management and business development through the latest means of interactive e-learning.

    The portal also provides many important services to all participants in terms of guidance brochures to be sent periodically by e-mail. Besides, it provides a search engine that contains local and international database to help entrepreneurs and business owners to find mentors and advisers with appropriate expertise who help in the development and operation of projects as well to find solutions for problems and challenges, evaluate opportunities and make decisions.

The project is an outcome of a cooperation protocol signed in 2004 between the Ministry of Health and Population and that of Communications and Information Technology.
