    Targeting Egyptian Governorates: ITIDA Sponsors "Networking for Development" Initiative

    Within the framework of "Networking for Development" initiative adopted by Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) directed for SMEs, the “Networking for Development” Forum was organized on 12th and 13th of June, in Mansoura and Alexandria.

    "Networking for Development" initiative is launched in collaboration with the Delta Technopreneurs Association (DTA) and the Alexandria Software and IT Association "ASITA".

    ITIDA’s CEO, Mr. Yasser El-Kady and a number of senior experts and specialists in the field of ICT shed light on ITIDA’s programs and initiatives aiming to uplift the performance of IT SMEs.

    Spreading the culture of informatics in Egypt’s various governorates and building the capacity of ICT SMEs are the main targets of the “Networking for Development” initiative.

    The initiative identifies problems and challenges SMEs face in order to reach best ways to solve them as well as to urge companies to register in ITIDA's database.

    The initiative also makes use of the latest practices in the fields of business/software applications and operating systems for mobile phones and tablet computers.

    A number of programs and initiatives designed to meet the needs of technology SMEs were presented during the event. The programs tackle capacity building, such as development programs for building the capacity of individuals and companies.

    Efforts undertaken by the Software Engineering Certification Center (SECC) for the development of the Egyptian software industry locally, regionally and globally were also highlighted. In addition, the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) programs were also presented.
    A number of ITIDA's experts and professionals presented the latest strategies for business development and product/service promotion through exhibitions to penetrate certain markets.

    Mechanisms to register SMEs in the Egyptian Stock Exchange and Information Technology Academic Collaboration (ITAC) initiative as well as a package of consulting services were also highlighted.

    Meetings included a technical workshop with a number of experts and professionals working in multinational and local companies. The participants presented the latest software applications and mobile operating systems and tablet computers to assist SMEs choosing the most appropriate in terms of content and financial consideration.
