    Egypt Partakes in OIF-Economy and Digital Forums

    Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), will partake in the Economy and Digital Forums, taking place on October 10, on the sidelines of 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), held on October 11-12, in Yerevan, Armenia. MCIT will participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution session, held during the Forum.

    OIF Summits have been held every two years since 1986. Influential heads of states gather in the capital city of Armenia to discuss major topics on ways to promote the Francophone values such as education, peace, sustainable development, protection of human rights and others. 

    The International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF) is an international institution established in 1970, aiming at strengthening and promoting the French language and universal values.  OIF considers its primary mission promoting peace, democracy and human rights, French language and cultural and linguistic diversity, supporting education and training, promoting cooperation with the Office for Sustainable Development, intensifying the dialogue between cultures and civilizations, enhancing the solidarity among member states and governments through multilateral cooperation aimed at strengthening their economic growth.
