    Mobile Information Technology Clubs across Egypt

    Along with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Italian Corporation, The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) launched the Mobile Information Technology Club on the 5th of February in an attempt to increase IT awareness.

    The Mobile Information Technology Club provides free access and exposure to ICT in remote and rural communities across Egypt.

    Mobile IT Clubs are composed of two types; the first is a caravan that includes 20 computers connected to the internet through a satellite channel and the second type is a bus that includes 10 computers. The crew of the Mobile IT Club consists of two instructors, a Technical assistant, a Field operation administrator and a driver who will accompany the bus visitors.

    The first Mobile IT Club – caravan - headed towards El Menia governorate. It currently receives citizens coming from nearby areas. People from different ages have shown interest in expanding their knowledge through the use of internet.
