    Egypt Partakes in AICTO Council 20th Meeting

    Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is partaking in the 20th meeting of Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) Council, taking place on December 3-4, in Baghdad, Iraq.

    On the sidelines of the Council's meeting, the second session of the Arab Regional Workshop "ICT Investment Plan in the Arab Region" will be held within the framework of developing joint Arab action and creating an Arab cooperation network to support Arab and regional projects.

    A diplomatic mission, representing MCIT, particpated in the 19th meeting of AICTO Council and the 14th session of the General Assembly, held on April 13-14, in Tunis, where the mission particpated in discussing all the topics of these meetings’ agenda.

    The Organization is directed by a Council composed of the President, Vice-President and Member-States. The council’s President, Vice-President and Members are elected during the General Assembly meeting, for a renewable two-year term. The Council meets every six months, and the President may, after consultation with the Secretary-General, convene extraordinary meetings when necessary.
