    MCIT to Hold Bo2W Workshop

    In the framework of the Egyptian Green ICT Strategy, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) holds the Best-of-two-Worlds workshop on Monday, May 13, 2013.

    The workshop will take place during the regular meeting of the Egyptian Green ICT stakeholders, a multi stakeholder mechanism developed by MCIT to encourage knowledge sharing and exchange of expertise and coordination on this important topic.

    The workshop is to focus on discussing technical, organizational and regulatory approaches for solving the existing e-waste and car-waste problems in Egypt. With regards to the Best-of-two Worlds project, the approach as well as first results will be presented and discussed. Linkages and synergies with other related initiatives and policy approaches in Egypt will also be explored.

    The workshop brings together representatives from government, civil society, industry and academia.

    MCIT adopts Green Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Strategy which aims at reducing the adverse environmental impacts resulting from the expansion of using ICT devices.
