    ITI Hosts GGJ 2019

    The System Development and Gaming Center of Excellence (SD&G CoE) of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) hosts the Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2019, under the activities of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Egypt Chapter, for the seventh year, on January 25-27, at ITI headquarters in Smart Village.

    GGJ is the world's largest game jam event taking place around the world at various physical locations. Itís a hackathon focused on game development, and a space where talented individuals get together to work in a fun atmosphere of creativity and experimentation. The Game Jam stimulates collaboration and encourages people with all types of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

    Large number of people are expected to participate in the event, from different age groups, academic backgrounds, entrepreneurs and startups operating in this area. ITI is keen on building an Egyptian electronic game developers society, which helps in preparing the local industry and assisting in the creation and launch of Egyptian entrepreneurship companies. This is in addition to producing digital games, which enrich and increase the Egyptian and Arabic content on the Internet.
