    Premier Witnesses Signing Cooperation Protocol between Real Estate Registration Department and ENPO

    Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouli witnessed, today, at the Cabinetís headquarters, the ceremony of signing a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Justice, represented by the Real Estate Registration and Notarization Department, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by the Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO), in the presence of the Minister of Justice Mohamed Hossam Abdel-Rahim, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat.

    The protocol was signed by the Assistant Minister of Justice for Real Estate Registration Affairs Ashraf Rizk and the Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO) Chairman Essam El-Saghir.
    The protocol aims to enable citizens to obtain automated notarization services through postal service centers, in line with the Stateís policy to develop all service providers and automate their procedures to facilitate citizensí access to government services.

    After the signing ceremony, the Minister of Justice stated that the protocol aims to cooperate with MCIT and ENPO to develop the real estate registration services, activate the one window notarization office and open 35 offices with ENPO, upon phases, in cooperation with the ICT Minister who contributed to providing all the devices required to facilitate providing notarization services automatically.

    For his part, the ICT Minister said that this protocol is within the framework of cooperation among the Stateís different sectors to achieve the transition to a digital society and the efforts exerted by MCIT to implement an ambitious plan to reform the role of ENPO to be a platform for providing digital government services to citizens, since it provides several government services besides postal services to a wide range of citizens. He also referred to the development of ENPO offices, to transform post offices to integrated postal services centers.

    In addition, Talaat stated that under this protocol, the services of the real estate registration and notarization will be available in 35 post offices distributed nationwide. The staff of the real estate office, located in post offices, can help citizens extract all the documents issued by the Real Estate Department. He pointed out that the service will be launched gradually in two offices in Cairo and Giza till reaching 35 post offices nationwide.

    He also stated that under the one-year renewable protocol, real estate and notarization services are to be provided through post offices, in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed upon in the protocol. In addition, ENPO infrastructure is to be developed to operate the service systems of the Real Estate Registration and Notarization Department in accordance with the agreed values, and to provide collection and remittances services.
