    ITIDA, IDSC Sign Cooperation Protocol

    Date published: 28 May 2019

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Cabinetís Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) signed a cooperation protocol, on May 27, at IDSC premises.

The protocol stipulates that IDSC is to apply and update the Electronic Enterprise Management System (eEMS), and the integrated financial system developed by IDSC on ITIDA servers. This is in addition to training ITIDA selected employees on all functions of the two applications, including how to run them.

The eEMS is a specialized governmental system for managing institutionsí resources, including capabilities and potentials, on a high technical level, thus helping them in planning and making decisions.

The system seeks to provide a number of e-services for the institutionís staff, including discussions, self-education and e-mailing. It, also, connects the institutionís offices in different areas, electronically, and combines the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), and Human Resources (HR) concepts in one system.

The protocol reflects the IDSC role in adopting the concept of participation, cooperation and integration with different state institutions. This will help develop the institutionsí business and services, and update the service in various fields, by using IDSC mechanisms and tools including information analysis and decision support, with the aim to achieve the best results in the shortest possible time, thus serving the citizens.

Moreover, the protocol stipulates that ITIDA is to support IDSC with the technological applications projects that the former carries out in different markets. In addition, IDSC will benefit from ITIDA activities, including training, advisory services, international accreditation, technical testing and e- signature.

Relevantly, the two sides agreed to cooperate on implementing specialized training programs in areas of common interest, and exchange scientific and advisory expertise. The two sides will, also, participate in various events, including conferences, workshops and initiatives, which positively affect each sideís activities.
