Falling Walls Lab Egypt to Hold

    Date published: 17 July 2019
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is hosting the Falling Walls Lab Egypt, on July 18, in Cairo. The event is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, and organized in cooperation with the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), Egypt Innovate, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Misr El Kheir Foundation and Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The Lab aims to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations, and promote the exchange between outstanding scholars and professionals emerging from different fields of expertise.

The Lab welcomes ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, ideas and business models from all disciplines, from Bachelor and Master students, postdoctoral fellows, young professionals, entrepreneurs and junior professors.
In 2019, international Falling Walls Labs take place all over the world. The winner of each Lab will be awarded a slot for the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin, on November 8, and a ticket to the Falling Walls Conference, on November 9.

The Falling Walls Lab in Egypt has been the Lab with the highest number of applications worldwide. For this, 2019 Lab will be expanded to regions outside Cairo to enable a greater visibility of great ideas and a better access for everyone who wants to apply.

The Falling Walls Foundation is a non-profit organization that fosters the discussion on research and innovation and promotes the latest scientific findings among a broad audience from all segments of society.
