    Egypt Participates in Digital Technologies for Sustainable Urbanization Network First Forum

    Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is participating in the Ministerial Dialogue held on the sideline of the first annual forum of the Digital Technologies for Sustainable Urbanization Network in Barcelona, Spain on November 16-17. It is an initiative supported by the United Nations and is a side event of Smart City Expo.

    The First Deputy to the ICT Minister Noha Adly is participating, on behalf of the ICT Minister, in the Ministerial Dialogue, discussing the possibility of holding the membership of the Network itself.

    The Digital Technologies for Sustainable Urbanization Network aims to promote sharing experiences and good practices in the use of digital technologies to deliver sustainable urbanization, and provide key elements to the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development Agenda.

    It also provides recommendations and ideas for achieving the objective of sustainable urbanization, including the Sustainable Development Goal 11 to "make cities and human settlements inclusive, save, resilient and sustainable", as a follow-up to Agenda 2030.

    Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is being held on November 17-19 in Barcelona, Spain. Reshaping cities through innovation is the theme of this yearís Smart City Expo World Congress which seeks to give everyone involved the chance to share experience and knowledge, strive for innovation and do business.
