Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif along with Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel visited two mobile IT clubs in Suez Sunday. The visit comes in the context of their field visit to Suez.
The two IT clubs, aimed to facilitate IT tools for all age groups of Suez inhabitants, especially children, were implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Suez governorate.
On its part, the Suez governorate offered the mobile units, while MCIT equipped them with the necessary devices. Each mobile IT club contains 11 computers, a printer, a scanner and a projector. MCIT also connected these units with the internet through satellites.
MCIT has established these mobile unites to serve all social segments at affordable fees in remote and deprived areas where it was technically difficult to connect to the internet.
About 1500 IT Clubs have been established nationwide so far, 27 of which are in Suez. IT Clubs have been founded in universities, youth centers, cultural centers and civil organizations in collaboration with the private sector and non-governmental organizations.
