Egypt AppCup is a challenge jointly organized by TIEC and Huawei, targeting innovative Egyptian university students and fresh graduates who are interested in developing android applications.

The competition is part of Huawei's ‘Shining-Star’ Program that aims to support developers in Egypt and across the world to come up with innovative solutions through developing mobile apps addressing transportation, health and tourism sectors.

Huawei enables developers to launch their applications on its AppGallery that serves more than 390 million users in more than 170 countries and regions.

More than 400 Egyptian developers registered for the competition. Thirty teams of 80 developers were selected to attend a bootcamp training on how to implement their innovative ideas and design smartphone apps. Only six teams compete to win the competition. The winners will be announced on the final ceremony.

During HDD, Huawei will share its new ecological construction strategy and showcase its common vision of the future, including optimized app/gaming experience, top quality content discovery, Artificial Intelligence (AI)- powered tools, and much more.
