    ITI to Hold 5th ICICT 2007 on ICT and Media Convergence

    The Information Technology Institute (ITI) is due to hold the fifth International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICICT 2007) from December 16 - 18 in cooperation with the IEEE section in Egypt.
     
    Under the theme “Media Convergence: Moving to the Next Generation: Towards Exploiting the Benefits of Next Generation Networks,” the conference will focus on the convergence of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and Media applications.
     
    A number of high-profile academics and researchers involved in scientific activities related to media convergence, IT specialists, ICT companies' representatives and policy makers are expected to take part in the conference.
     
    The international event has received papers from the 16 countries of Algeria, Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Malaysia, South Korea, Tunisia, United Kingdom and USA.
     
    Meanwhile, ICICT 2007 will be preceded by two days tutorials on December 15 on mobile commerce, mobile games, mobile TV and IPTV and VoD.
