    ITI Hosts GGJ 2020

    The System Development and Gaming Center of Excellence (SD&G CoE) of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) is hosting the Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2020, under the activities of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Egypt Chapter, for the eighth year, on January 31- February 2, at ITI premises in Smart Village.

    GGJ is the world's largest game jam event taking place around the world at various physical locations. It is a hackathon focused on digital game development, and a space where talented individuals get together to work in a fun atmosphere of creativity and experimentation.

    The event aims to stimulate collaboration and encourages people with all types of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

    Last years’ event brought together more than 1,000 participants from all over Egypt. Over 70 digital games were developed and uploaded.

    ITI site won two Guinness World Records as the largest site with the most participants in a game jam (single location), in 2016 and 2018.
