The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), is participating in Egypt’s delegation’s visit to New Delhi, India on December 20-22, to discuss the framework of cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
The participation of NTRA representative in this visit is significant, to cover the relevant issues and discuss cooperation mechanisms with the Indian side in the field of cybersecurity.
India, the second biggest country in the world in terms of population, has one of the major ICT sectors in Asia and worldwide. India has been a main partner of Egypt for a long time. The Egyptian ICT sector has managed to build a strong relation with its Indian counterpart, which has considerable experience in the field. The Egyptian ICT community including government officials, industrialists, experts and specialists, has been keen on communicating with the Indian sector to achieve more cooperation.
The Executive Program for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Egypt and India for 2015 – 2018 represents a channel of cooperation between the two countries. Within this program, Egypt –through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology- and India cooperate in the fields of e-health, e-education, e-governance and cybersecurity.
