    Egypt Partakes in 3rd Annual Middle East and North Africa Spectrum Management Conference

    Egypt, represented by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), will participate in the 3rd Annual Middle East and North Africa Spectrum Management Conference, organized by Forum Global, the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and hosted by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), on January 24-25, Dubai, UAE. The event is taking place as part of the Global Spectrum Series – the world’s largest collection of regional spectrum management events.

    The Conference will be followed by an ITU Workshop on Cross Border Frequency Management in the Arab Region, on January 26, organized by the ITU Arab Regional office, and in cooperation with the TRA.

    The conference will provide a high-level meeting point for stakeholders across the Middle East, North Africa and beyond to discuss topical issues relating to the management and co-ordination of spectrum policy across the region.

    Issues to be covered at the 2017 edition of the conference include; an overview of the spectrum management decision making process in the Arab region, paving the way for the fifth Generation (5G) revolution in the Arab world and meeting the long-term spectrum requirements of the Internet of Things (IoT) age. This is in addition to discussing best practices in setting pricing and licensing conditions, and spectrum for critical communications and Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR).
