    Date published: 3 May 2020

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has approved disbursing the financial support of the 10th round of Export-IT program to the second batch of ICT companies.

The total amount of EGP 11,863,223 was disbursed to the second batch of companies, including 27 medium-sized companies, eight of which have joined the program for the first time.

So far, the total number of beneficiaries is 52 companies, with the total amount of support disbursed for both the first and the second batches reaching 17,032,626 EGP.

It is worth mentioning that the total number of companies that applied for the program reached 165 companies, 113 of which submitted the required supporting documents to ITIDA, after the registration deadline was extended for one more week, ending on April 16.

ITIDA expedited the disbursement of Export-IT program financial support to start in April,  through batches, with micro and small companies funded first. This comes as part of the prompt measures that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) took to revive the IT market and support ICT companies, to mitigate the negative effects of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) crisis.
