Qodwa-Tech Financial Accounting Skills for Craftswomen Training Program Concludes

    Date published: 15 July 2020
The Central Department for Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) concluded the Financial Accounting Skills for Craftswomen training program on July 14. Through distance learning applications, the program was organized in collaboration with Microsoft Egypt and Care Egypt Foundation (CEF), as part of the ongoing activities of Qodwa-Tech initiative for women’s empowerment.
The training was tailored to meet the female entrepreneurs’ needs and provide them with support and follow-up services through different training programs, in line with their suggestions, especially the participating Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) who learn and work from home. The online training also saved the effort to move to the training venue.
The program is one of the different training sets provided in collaboration with several community development and capacity building partners. The program next phase is to be organized on July 20, to accommodate more female entrepreneurs. In addition, a number of consultation sessions will be held to help participants review the use of software applications in their projects and move from paper to electronic work.
The program is within the framework of the continuous cooperation between MCIT, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Microsoft Egypt and CEF, spanning many years. The four sides supported the training programs provided to build youth, girls and entrepreneurs’ capacities through different initiatives, including Qodwa-Tech for women’s empowerment, and “Tawarwghayar” (develop and change) initiative for youth recruitment and capacity building, nationwide.
The training program is implemented within the framework of fulfilling the strategic objectives of Qodwa-Tech initiative that seeks to build the capacities of craftswomen through a set of comprehensive training programs in entrepreneurship, small-scale project management, digital marketing and ICT empowerment.
