MCIT Organizes Open Discussion on IPRs during Closing Ceremony of Qodwa-Tech Fifth Batch Training Program

    Date published: 17 October 2020

The Central Department for Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) concluded the online training program for the fifth batch of female entrepreneurs on social media marketing skills, on October 15. The training program is part of the activities of Qodwa-Tech initiative.

The closing ceremony included an open discussion between an Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) expert and the trainees. This involved providing valuable advice on achieving project success, handling customers, and managing business using ICT. This is in addition to discussing the key legal requirements for starting a small business, and the rules and laws for creating a small single entity for producing and marketing craft products. The female entrepreneurs, also, received advice on registering IPRs and trademarks for their products.

Hosting an IPRs expert comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation ties with the entities supporting the development plans and the strategy of building the Egyptian citizen. The aim is to upskill female entrepreneurs using ICTs, thus supporting the state’s development efforts.

At the end of the ceremony, the trainees received certificates of attendance and completion.
