    Nile University to Hold International Workshop on ICT Policy Management

    Nile University (NU), in cooperation with the Korean Seoul National University and Information and Communication University, is holding an international Workshop entitled "ICT Policy Management: A New Paradigm in the Globalization Era" on Monday 30th at the Smart Village.

    Held under the auspices of Egyptís Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel, the two Korean universities are taking part in the workshop with a number of professors, post-graduate students and ICT policy management specialists from all over the world.

    NUís CIT Program Director Dr. Mahmoud Allam and head of workshop said the workshop aims at discussing means of managing ICT policies in view of the on-going development of such technology. He added that the workshop will be presenting models and experiences from different countries.

    The other purpose of the workshop, according to Dr. Allam, is to figure out the role of governments, universities, research centers and the business community in supporting ICT policies and studying their influence on propping up such a vital sector.

    The workshop comes within the framework of NUís constant collaboration with international universities. The workshop also helps put into effect the NUís role in supporting partnerships between universities, the Government and the private sector.

    Several Korean and Egyptian governmental agencies and institutions are also contributing to the one-day event.
