    Ministerial Mission to the U.S 2009

    An official delegation led by Minister of CIT Dr. Tarek Kamel headed to the United States in an official mission that aims to reinforce bilateral relations between the two countries especially in the field of ICT.

    The official mission follows the important visit of American President Barack Obama to Cairo beginning of this month.

    The visit is likely to open new channels of collaboration between Egypt and the US on several levels including: internet governance, especially in view of the special interest given by the US to this subject, child and youth safety online and technological innovation.

    A number of agreements are expected to be signed with American companies, which will be to pump more investments and enter into alliances with their Egyptian counterparts.

    Minister Kamel is expected to have other meetings with a number of US officials, regulatory bodies and congressmen. In addition, he will meet heads of international organizations working on ICT and eight mega ICT companies. Moreover, Dr. Kamel will pay field visits to advanced ICT research centers.
