    ITI Third International Conference on Information & Communications Technology - ICICT 2005

    Cairo, 4 December 2005

    The proceedings of the ITI 3rd International Conference on Information & Communications Technology (ICICT 2005) commenced under the patronage of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel in partnership with the International Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The conference will be concluded on December 6, 2005.

    The conference aims to transfer the Egyptian society into a knowledge society, hence its slogan: Enabling Technologies for the New Knowledge Society. This is within the national strategic plan to activate all technical tools that encourage and enable reaching this goal.

    The conference focuses on three main tracks: Software Engineering, Embedded Systems and Web Technologies, and will also include the Best Graduation Project Competition. On the conference sidelines, three tutorials will be held on: Semantic Web and Ontology, Mobile Robotic Applications, and RF for Wearable Computing and Health Monitoring.

    In addition to the conference’s scientific program, an exhibition is arranged where the largest companies and authorities in communications and information technology in Egypt will participate to highlight developments and successes in this field. Additionally, the conference has attracted several specialized high-end research papers and has drawn in participating scientists and researchers from around the world, which highlights the conference’s success in achieving its goals.
