    Essam El-Saghir Appointed as ENPO Chairman

    Cairo, 16 July 2018
    The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat received, today, Essam El-Saghir who informed the ICT Minister of the Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouliís approval of his appointment as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO) for one year.

    El-Saghir was previously appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENPO on 1st May 2015 for three years, through which he managed to start implementing the plan of developing post offices and converting them to integrated postal services centers to provide all financial, postal and community services via the unified window. This is in addition to establishing the technological centers that serve citizens. During his tenure, ENPO achieved the highest financial surplus.

    El-Saghir has been responsible for developing and automating the postal services and logistics operations of Emirates Post Group (EPG) for eighteen years. His long experience helped him design and develop a wide range of systems at the global level to automate all postal, non-postal services and operational processes and converting them to e-services to be provided through the Smart Government.

    In addition, he participated in several strategic projects related to developing postal systems in most countries of the world, including Japan, Germany, Switzerland, England, Ireland, India and Denmark.

    El-Saghir was born in 1963 and received a Bachelor of Commerce from Ain Shams University in 1986 and a number of specialized international and regional certifications in information technology, design and development of electronic systems and their use in developing and automating services, monitoring performance indicators and reducing operational costs.
