    ITIDA Signs Two MoUs with Oracle

    Washington, 24 June 2009

    Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) signed today two memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Oracle Corp.
    The first MoU stipulates the expansion of Oracle Global Support Center in Egypt to offer customer support services to the company's clients worldwide. The center, to start its operations as of next month, will offer about 210 job opportunities for specialized Egyptian calibers.
    The operating center currently occupies about 400 Egyptian employees who provide outsourcing services to the company’s clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
    Based on the second MoU, oracle will establish a new center to supply outsourcing services to the company's clients over the coming three years in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
    Employees at the center will provide the services of software application packages, technical designs, data warehouse, solution development, security system applications and testing and technical support. The center started with 60 specialists in 2005. The center will facilitate about 250 new job opportunities for Egyptian distinguished workforce.
    ITIDA CEO Dr. Hazem Abdelazim and Oracle Egypt Country Manager Eng. Hussein Hamza signed the agreement. Oracle Vice President Ms. Clare Dolan witnessed the signing ceremony.
    Oracle is one of the major companies in the world specialized in business solutions whose clients amount to 320 ones, including the biggest 100 companies in the world, in 145 countries. The revenue of the company amounted to about $22.4 bn in 2008.
