Dr. Kamel to Contribute to Euromoney 2009 in London

    Cairo, 17 March 2009

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel is heading today to the British Capital London to participate in Euromoney 2009 entitled Egypt: The Investors Conference.

The conference comes as part of the international trend of communicating and exchanging views and expertise to face the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis. The conference will attempt to find solutions for such negative consequences.

During a session on Egypt, Dr. Kamel will present the investment opportunities the Egyptian Government offers in several sectors and the measures the country took to overcome the crisis.

Minister Kamel will also demonstrate the Egyptian successful model of restructuring the information and communication technology (ICT) sector, the investment potential in the field and the effective public private partnerships (PPP) between the government and the private sector and civil organizations.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kamel is scheduled to meet UK's Minister for Communications Lord Stephen Carter. He will also convene with senior officials at Google Company, Nominet UK and the Internet Society in the UK.
