    ITIDA Signs MoU with American Arab Chamber of Commerce

    Washington, 24 June 2009

    Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the American Arab Chamber of Commerce.
    Based on the MoU, ITIDA and the chamber will conduct awareness raising campaigns for boosting relations between human resources working in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector in Egypt and the US.
    The two parties will also introduce Egyptian educational institutions and companies working on IT services to the experiences of their American counterparts.   
    The MoU will boost bilateral trade ties in ICT and figure out the available opportunities to maximize them.
    In addition, the agreement aims at enhancing relations, especially with regards to information exchange and the promotion of Egypt as a competitive hub in the field of IT services.
    Meanwhile, ITIDA officials held talks with Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) about promoting Egypt as a competitive IT services hub. The talks also figured out means of building stronger relations between Egyptian and US companies.
    ITAA is one of the major non-governmental organizations with more than 16,000 companies in its membership list. ITAA has been promoting innovation since 1961.
    Established more than 40 years ago, American Arab Chamber of Commerce is an independent non-profit organization that supports the US-Arab ties in economic and trade domains. Now it has a list of more than 10,000 member companies.
