    Egypt Post Signs Cooperation Agreement with IBM on Manufacturing 6,000,000 Debit Cards for Pensioners

    Washington, 24 June 2009
    Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel witnessed on the 24th of June, 2009 signing a cooperation agreement between Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO), IBM Corp. on manufacturing 6,000,000 debit cards for pensioners in Egypt. ENPO Executive Chairman Eng. Alaa Fahmy signed the agreement.
    ENPO will offer a variety of financial services to holders of these cards, who can also use them in cashing their pensions via the ATM machines available nationwide. 
    The agreement comes within the Egyptian Government's plan to put an end to long waiting lines through utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) tools in providing services easily and in a civilized way.
