    ITIDA Signs Cooperation Agreement with EMC Corp. on Establishing Excellence Center in Egypt

    Washington, 24 June 2009

    Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) signed today a cooperation agreement with EMC Corp. on establishing a new excellence center in Egypt for serving EMC clients worldwide.
    ITIDA CEO Dr. Hazem Abdelazim and head of Globalization Unit at EMC Mr. Tom Prodrick signed the agreement.
    The center will facilitate more than 300 job opportunities for specialized Egyptian calibers in the first three years of operation.  
    EMC will serve its clients and offer business solutions and technological applications through the center such as information management and data storage products.
    Established in 1979, EMC is one of the world's leading companies specialized in developing information infrastructure and other services. More than 40,000 specialists work for EMC in over 60 countries.
    The company's revenues in 2008 amounted to about $14.8 billion. EMC invests around one billion dollars annually in R&D at its international centers.  

    EMC maintained its status as number one in the world by 7.20%, according to the IDC report on internal storage.
