    The Initiative to Improve IT and Entrepreneurship Basic Skills of Three Thousands Egyptians Through e-Learning Programs Kicks Off

    Cairo, 16 October 2011

    e-Learning Competence Center (eLCC), affiliated to the Information Technology Institute at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, launches an initiative to train 3000 of Egyptian youth nationwide on the basics of computers, networks and entrepreneurship using e-learning programs.

    Launched on Tuesday, 11th of October 2011, in the presence of 30 NGOs and civil society spread nationwide and working in the field of information technology, the initiative focuses on remote areas, Upper Egypt, Sinai and South Valley governorates.

    This initiative will be launched in the form of training fellowship for youth. MCIT affords all training costs from its budget, as a sign of support not only to young people but also to NGOs and civil society working in ICT.

    This initiative is part of the MCIT plan to train Egyptian Society on ICT tools to increase the qualifications, the human development and to create more job opportunities for youth.
    This comes in the framework of continuous education through e-learning technology empowered by eLCC and is considered as one of the centerís strategic goals.
