    RITI Witnesses New Batch Graduation

    Cairo, 23 December 2013

    The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Atef Helmy has witnessed the graduation ceremony  of the new academic 2013 class for the Regional Information Technology Institute  (Riti), affiliated with the Regional Information Technology and Software Engineering Center (RITSEC).

    The new batch comprises 73 students: holders of both masters and doctoral degrees in business administration and network management information system, which are provided by RITI in collaboration with the Maastricht School of Management (MsM) in in the Netherlands, the Middlesex University in the UK and the University of Louisville in the  USA.

    Attendees included Riti board of trustees chairman, Hesham El-sherif, the institute’s board of directors chairman, Mohamed Shaker, and its CEO Moatassem El Kadah. The institute’s manager, Gamal Mohamed Ali, Maastricht School of Management (MsM) professor, Yuris Chtad Hoderz  as well as a group of elite universities professors  in Egypt and abroad, and IT sector representatives in Egypt.

    Helmy saluted the graduates and their families for their honoring achievement, wishing them a bright future in the Egyptian and Arab business world. He stressed on the importance of their role in this critical time that Egypt isindergoing, adding that the government backed up the human capacity building as a pillar to answer the needs of markets internally and externally.

    At the same time, he referred to the importance of creating young leadership calibers to assume upper and middle management positions in companies. 

    For his part, Ambassador Mohamed Shaker  welcomed the attendees including representatives of the League of Arab States and foreign ambassadors and prominent figures, highlighting the effective role of Riti during the last twenty years; the institute helped to develop the Egyptian market in business administration and information technology.

    On this occasion, Riti celebrates a 19-year collaboration between  Egypt and the Netherlands in this field, in coordination with Maastricht School of Management. 

    The Regional Information Technology Institute  (Riti) is one of the pioneer scientific centers in the Arab world. Since its inception in 1992, the institute concluded agreements with a number of prominent universities and educational organizations in the world, in order to deliver the latest scientific theories and techniques to Arab students.

    The institute performed its scientific message to support and spread information technology and management sciences in the Arab region. This was represented by a number of academic and training programs to develop administrative leaders and economic effectiveness of institutions in Egypt and the Arab region.

    The number of graduates of academic programs reached more than 1800 till now, in addition to ten thousands of graduates of professional training programs.
