ICT Minister Heads to Cote d’Ivoire to Discuss Enhancing Cooperation in ICTs

    Cairo, 8 April 2019

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat headed, today, to Cote d’Ivoire, to meet the Ivorian Minister of Digital Economy and Post Claude Isaac De, aiming to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two countries in ICTs.

Bilateral discussions between the two ministers are to entail a number of topics of common interest, for leveraging IT to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhancing cooperation, and exchanging experiences between the two countries in achieving the transition to a digital society.

Talaat has met the Ivorian Minister on the sidelines of his participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, held in February 2019, where they highlighted the depth of relations between Egypt and its African sister countries, and the significance of enhancing mechanisms of cooperation. This is in addition to leveraging mutual experiences between the two countries, honing African youth’s skills, and benefitting from Egypt’s successful experience in establishing technology parks and smart villages.
