ICT Minister Convenes with CPA Head

    Cairo, 12 October 2015

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady met, today, in his office in Smart Village, with Chairman of the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) Atef Yacoub where they discussed means of coordinating efforts in a number of issues of common interest and enhancing cooperation to reflect positively on services provided to citizens.

Seeking to expand the role of post offices to provide integrated community-based services to citizens, both parties agreed on a joint protocol to be signed soon between Egypt National Post Organization (ENPO) and CPA to develop and modernize the system of receiving inquiries and complaints from citizens, so that they can swiftly be sent to CPA via free complaint and questionnaire forms available at post offices widespread across the country.

Part of MCIT plan is to develop post offices nationwide. This is in addition to  enhancing the performance of post offices employees and automating services provided to citizens to keep pace with postal offices around the world, and introducing new postal services to facilitate procedures for citizens.
