    ICT Minister Appoints Sherine El-Guindy Assistant Minister for Strategy, Implementation

    Cairo, 1 May 2020

    The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has issued a decree, appointing Sherine Ahmed Awad El-Guindy Assistant Minister for Strategy and Implementation, for a year.

    The position comprises a number of responsibilities, including developing the necessary mechanisms for implementing the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in the ICT sector; coordinating with MCIT affiliated organizations, different government bodies, companies and civil society organizations, to implement MCIT strategies; and participating in conducting feasibility and technical studies pertaining to the strategic objectives.

    El-Guindy was the Advisor to the ICT Minister for Technology Parks, since August 2018. She was, also, the Business Development Director at EMC Energy, since 2015, and the Head of Business Development at Fawry Banking and Payment Technology Services, from 2008 to 2014.

    Moreover, she was the Sales and System Integration Director, at Raya, from 2005 to 2007, the General Manager of Raya Regional Services, from 2004 to 2005, and the General Manager of Oratech - a subsidiary of Raya Holding - from 2000 to 2002.

    El-Guindy holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo (AUC), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Maastricht School of Management. She also completed the Senior Executive Program at Harvard Business School (HBS).
