Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel visits the United States from June 20th to 27th, 2010.
The visit comes within the framework of boosting bilateral strategic ties.The trip is based on the outstanding results of the previous one last year and in view of initiatives and positive ideas carried out and elaborated on since then.
This year’s trip aims mainly to support a high-level working group, through putting its activities into force and starting relevant technical and political discussions between the two countries.
Dr. Kamel and his accompanying delegation are expected to conduct a number of meetings with the head of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and several officials from the White House, the Department of State, the World Bank, Harvard University and University of Massachusetts.
In addition to conducting scheduled meetings in the USA, the delegation will meet with some heads of private American companies.
It is also worth mentioning that in June 2009, a high-level official delegation led by Dr. Kamel conducted a business trip to the United States. The visit contributed to finding a common ground as well as opening new channels, especially in the area of investing in information and communication technology (ICT). |
