    Egyptian Education Initiative

    The Egyptian Educational Initiative was launched as a Public Private Partnership project according to the Egyptian government and the ICT community initiative by the World Economic Forum as an advanced model to reform the educational system in Egypt gradually. The initiative focusing on principals of an education system is a national project contributing to improve the livelihood of people regardless their age, profession or social standards. It is an inclusive model gathering students, parents, teachers and leaders of community, government, institutions and international organizations, in order to improve their life style, thanks to the efforts exerted while planning the program. This includes analysis of methodologies in education, international experts’ consultancy.

    It entails the application of strict criteria related to follow-up and assessment. Despite the obstacles slowing the road for change and progress, major efforts were made to overcome these obstacles thanks to the awareness of all concerned parties about the advantages of the initiative on their daily lives.

    Goals:

    § Improve education in Egypt through modern and innovative methods
    § Increase access to technology
    § Adopt innovative teaching methods and use ICT applications

    Achievements:

    The partners of the private sector played a major role in providing equipment, programs and services at affordable prices besides equipping educational institutions with computers and related devices.
