Managing Agriculture Knowledge (The Expert System) project sought to investigate the most efficient agriculture knowledge management and utilization solutions that can empower farmers with expertise knowledge whenever needed in an easy optimized and updated way to improve their agriculture productivity.
The program falls under the pillar of active citizenship and social communities’ empowerment which seeks building a knowledge society for the prosperity and well-being of Egyptian citizens using ICTs by means of customized technical solutions, integrated developmental components, human development, minorities’ inclusion and reaching different communities.
§ Create an eco-system to achieve knowledge management and utilization
§ Link researchers, farmers and practitioners with each other in vibrant networks
§ Empower farmers, especially women, to increase their income in Egypt
§ Conducted a baseline study that analyzed three dimensions of the Expert Systems
§ Upgraded Aradina Portal to include Community Expert System in at least two hot agriculture topics in partnerships with two agriculture research centers
§ Conducted awareness sessions and provided promotional materials
§ Developed a well-trained and expert “knowledge and IT Unit”
§ Established partnership
