Biography

Raafat Hindy is the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and the Director of Telecommunication and Infrastructure sector at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). He is also the General Secretariat Sector Head, since mid-July 2018.

Hindy has more than 30 years of experience in offering various models of strategic and technical solutions for telecommunication and infrastructure projects, successfully implemented on national and international levels. Hindi established the Telecommunication and Infrastructure sector in 2006. Among the 100+ projects accomplished by this sector were the Smart Village’s infrastructure project, the Egyptian universities’ network, and the first Egyptian e-Visa system.

Implementing this wide range of projects, Hindy succeeded in building strong relationships with different government bodies, supporting the achievment the projects deliverables. He has also been recognized for his ability to build peak performance teams, with focusing on developing innovation skills.
