‘How Can Digital Transformation Accelerate Green Transition?’

A policy roundtable titled “How Can Digital Transformation Accelerate Green Transition?” is held on November 17 as part of the agenda of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27) in Sharm El Sheikh. The session takes place at 01:00-02:00 PM in at MCIT pavilion, the Green Zone. The roundtable acts as a starting point for a conversation that cuts across the two areas of action: promoting digital transformation and green transition, and fostering international cooperation that feeds into the nexus of those two mutually reinforcing areas. During the session, the efforts that the Egyptian government has been exerting to put digital transformation at the center of climate action will be discussed, as well as areas of potential collaboration. The panel will conclude with policy recommendations for “digital-green” action.
