The first ITU Forum on Embracing the Metaverse is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), on March 7, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hosted by NCA, the Forum aims at stimulating global dialogue on Metaverse and providing a platform to explore challenges and opportunities for an accessible, sustainable, and inclusive Metaverse. The Forum also provides inputs and discusses relevant topics that can help accelerate the work of the ITU-T Focus Group on Metaverse (FG-MV). It delves into several topics, most notably exploring the Metaverse significance, identifying key challenges of securing the Metaverse, and examining the technical and regulatory requirements of designing a seamless Metaverse experience, among others.
