World Summit on Information Society Forum 2023

The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2023 is held on March 13-17, in Geneva, Switzerland, under the theme “WSIS Action Lines for building back better and accelerating the achievements of the SDGs”. WSIS Forum is co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in close collaboration with all WSIS Action Line Facilitators/Co-Facilitators and other UN organizations. It is a global multistakeholder platform facilitating the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines for advancing sustainable development. It also provides an opportunity for information exchange, knowledge creation, and best practices sharing while identifying emerging trends and fostering partnerships, taking into account the evolving information and knowledge societies. The Forum encompasses special initiatives and tracks, most notably ICTs and Gender Mainstreaming; ICTs and Youth; ICTs and Older Persons; ICTs and Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and Specific Needs; ICTs and Indigenous Peoples and Cultures; ICTs for Developing and Least Developed Countries (LDCs); Cybersecurity; ICTs for Well-being and Happiness; and ICTs for Sport.
