The Global Forum on Technology (GFTech) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is held on June 6 at OECD headquarters in Paris, France, under the theme “Shaping our future at the tech frontier.” GFTech acts as a venue that brings together OECD members and non-members with industry, trade unions, academia, civil society, and technical communities. Objectives of GFTech include fostering strategic evidence-based dialogue and international cooperation, identifying and analyzing specific technological developments where there are gaps in existing for and their potential societal, economic, security, and sustainability impacts; exploring nascent approaches to policy challenges and opportunities posed by emerging technologies and business models, and sharing good practices for the governance of technologies.
