Digital Egypt Builders Initiative
Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI) is a scholarship launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in September 2020, during the opening of educational facilities by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The Initiative falls under the “human development” pillar of the Digital Egypt strategy, undertaken by MCIT.

The main objectives of DEBI include developing outstanding technical capacities in modern ICT sciences, unlocking the creative potential of Egyptian youth by creating an environment conducive to innovation and excellence, upskilling academics through the exchange of expertise, and establishing productive long-term partnerships with global firms and top universities.

DEBI is divided into two programs: DEBI Senior (12 months) and DEBI Professional (eight months). The programs cover several specializations, in addition to training in leadership and management, English language, innovation and entrepreneurship, and freelancing skills.

The training is delivered in collaboration with top international universities through an e-learning platform; local and global tech firms, and others specializing in leadership or language skills development. Trainees receive professional certificates after completing the training successfully.
