Practical Data Scientist Academy- Amazon Web Services
The Practical Data Scientist Academy (MCIT-PDSA) is a free professional training program in data science, launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
 
The program aims to qualify young Egyptians to become certified data scientists; supply the IT market in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa with skilled professionals; hone the skills of employees at Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and boost their ability to actively contribute to Digital Egypt projects; and encourage startups to focus on developing big data and data analytics solutions.
 
The program targets upskilling 500 young people in data analytics and big data in a way that helps them fill in-demand jobs and contribute to national projects.
 
Experts from AWS are developing the training content. This is in addition to creating training platforms, virtual classrooms, and hands-on training to provide entry-level and in-depth training in line with the standards and requirements of the international job market.
